NIV GmbH has purchased the former "Real-Markt" in Herten.

NIV GmbH - Naumann Immobilienanlage & Vermögensmanagement - a company belonging to the Dorsten-based NIG Naumann Immobiliengruppe, has purchased the former "Real-Markt" on Hoppenwall in Herten and will redevelop the site. For this purpose, in order to redevelop and revitalize the Hoppenwall site, new long-term lease agreements were signed with EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr Stiftung & Co. KG for a "Marktkauf" and a "Trink Gut" beverage store.
In addition to the Real store, which closed at the end of January 2021, the site, which covers a total of just under 40,000 m², also includes the former Real hi-fi and beverages store, which is located on the opposite property. As this site was a Real closure location, the new development of NIV GmbH and due to the very good cooperation with the Stadt Herten and the previous property owner, the retail location could be preserved and related jobs could be created in Herten. The redevelopment is expected to last into 2022.
However, retail will only occupy part of the site. Residential buildings and a daycare center will also be added.
